Filco Majestouch Ninja Cherry Black Switches

July 26, 2015

FILCO is a Japan-based keyboard brand, manufacturing keyboards in Taiwan to a very high standard. FILCO's keyboards come in a wide variety of "switches", the little mechanical/electrical switch inside each key. These switches are made by a company called Cherry, who offer different designs depending on what sort of typing experience you are looking for. This one I'm reviewing is the Filco Majestouch Ninja using Cherry Black switches. The black switch requires more force than the average keyboard to depress and has a very springy action. There are no markings on the surface of the keys so there's nothing to wear out. Overall, it's a good keyboard and I like the look but it's the force required to activate the keys is noticeable and over long periods of time, it gets tiring on the wrist.
